Unraveling Neural Circuits at the Intersection of Feeding and Other Motivated Behaviors
Welcome to the Bedenbaugh Lab at the University of Florida! We investigate neural circuits that drive feeding, stress and other motivated behaviors. To do this, we utilize molecular genetic tools to visualize, record and modulate neural circuits to gain a holistic view of how neural circuit architecture influences behavior and physiology. Our scientific inquiry is driven by a strong interest to investigate how these neural circuits function in adults as well as how developmental perturbations during critical periods of development can alter the programming of these circuits and have lifelong health effects.
